- In class: Résumé Critique (posted to the forum)
- Working in a small group, choose and critique one of the résumés listed on the resource page. First give the résumé a 20-45 second skim, and based on that skim discuss what your first impression of the résumé is and whether you would continue to examine it or move on to other résumés. Then examine the résumé more fully and critique it applying Chapter 7 and what we have covered in class on résumés. Look at the design, the organization, the content, clarity, conciseness, and so on. Also discuss how effective you think the résumé is and what can be done to make it stronger or, if applicable, what makes it particularly strong.
