A few helpful hints for turning in your web projects:

  1. Check the assignment description to make sure you have done everything.
  2. Make sure you have published all files. Compare your local view and remote view to check. Publish files as needed.
  3. Check the website. Go through the website looking for any issues, like missing images and links that don't work. Click on each link and look at each page.
  4. Check the website on someone else's computer or account to make sure that all the links, images, and files work and are on the server (and in the public_html folder) and not items on your computer or in your account (like your h drive). You can do this or have a friend do it.
  5. Email me the URL & any other needed info (check the assignment description to see what I might need). Make sure the URL works and is correct. If you have published the site in your h drive/elocker the URL will be something like: http://www.student.gsu.edu/~userid/foldername/first_file.html, where the userid is your id, the foldername is the name of the folder your project is in (this folder would be in the public_html folder, if there is no folder within the public_html folder then you don't need this), and the first_file.htm is the first page of your site. Note: if your first page is index.htm or index.html you will not need to include the name of it in the URL.
  6. DO NOT make changes in your project until you have received your grade and comments, as such changes might ruin your project before I grade it. Trust me this has happened and caused many problems.
