About me: My name is Steven Puente, and I am currently a sophomore at Stanford University. I am twenty years old and grew up in Fresno, California, which is located very close to the center of California. In high school, I played tennis and water polo, participated in mock trial, and was active in both my high school’s Christian community and with a local church. Here at Stanford, I have only been able to play tennis recreationally; I have not been able to continue playing competitively. However, I have started participating in new extracurricular activities. In particular, I began getting involved with the Stanford Daily as a photographer, and I have also learned to play guitar and am currently becoming involved in helping to lead worship in a campus fellowship. In terms of academic focus, I am planning on declaring as a biology major this quarter. While I am very interested in biology and research, I ultimately want to be a physician. Accordingly, I am taking pre-med classes here and am planning on applying to medical schools at the end of my junior year. Hopefully all goes as planned and I get to pursue my dream of becoming a physician.leave a message
