My name is Jennifer, and I am a second-year student majoring in biology at Stanford University. Some of my other academic interests include computer science, art history, and nanotechnology, but unfortunately there isn’t time to study all of them in great depth. After my undergraduate career, I hope to attend medical school. When I am not in class or studying, which is rare, I am probably relaxing with my friends, getting some exercise, or participating in extracurricular activities. Music is one of the few hobbies that I have continuously pursued since grade school, and I did not want college to change that. I currently play the flute in the Stanford Wind Ensemble, and I also play the piano for fun once in a while. In addition to instrumental music, I enjoy listening to classical music and alternative rock; favorites include Chopin, Gershwin, Kelly Clarkson, and a perpetually evolving list of non-mainstream bands. In addition to music, I enjoy drawing, amateur photography, travel, and good food, especially Chinese, Italian, and Mexican cuisine. Watching action movies and reading a good novel are other favorite pastimes.
