Stacie Chansjchan@stanford.eduHi! My name is Stacie Chan and I’m a student at Stanford University. I’m a Communication major because I have a huge interest in journalism and broadcasting. What better job could there be to attend events that interest you and then talk to really interesting people? I thrive most when I am busiest because I love to stay active. Recently I began writing features for our school newspaper, The Daily, and I work at our school TV station, the Stanford Cardinal Broadcasting Network, where I’ve produced my own show, Stanford Idol, a parody of the hit TV show, American Idol. Student government is also a huge part of my life because I’ve always taken an interest in politics and love to dig my hands in everything. If I’m going to be a student at Stanford University, I want to get the best experience I can possibly get by learning of the goings-on behind the scenes. I also love to volunteer and am typically very enthusiastic. I channel this energy through events like Stanford Dance Marathon, a 24-hour event where students stand on their feet in solidarity with those who have AIDS. What I enjoy most, though, is meeting new people.leave a message |
